Contest Brief
Summary
This contest is for designing one logo used in a Microsoft Outlook toolbar that has already been developed. The freelancer with most appropriate logo entry will be selected and he/she will need to create the following tiny icons as well.
Details about images (all marked on the screenshot):
Logo PNG file 128x128
AddRule PNG file 16x16
DeleteRule PNG file 16x16
Options ICO file (unsure about exact usage in application)
Rules PNG file 32x32
Settings PNG file 32x32
Description of the toolbar service:
This is a Microsoft Outlook based installable toolbar which allows private messages and attachments to be sent to select recipients in a common email to all. After installation of the toolbar, creating, forwarding or replying to an email shows an additional "row" which is blank by default. Each row allows specification of private messages for recipients and private attachments for them, allowing one email to contain many such private messages and attachments. The toolbar allows additional rows to be created for more complex combinations of private messages.
Important Notes:
1. There are 2 product names being considered: CC:Options, and CC:Private (no preference for either)
2. You can use the names in the logo or choose not to (no preference for either option).
3. Your entry for the contest may need to be refined according to the input we provide subsequently.
4. Please see attached screen shot for all UI elements.
5. If you are chosen, your design inputs would also be needed to guide the developer on making other UI / visual changes, if any.
6. If you are chosen, you will be given preferential treatment for the website design work (to be posted at a later date).
7. You will need to provide the original vector files for the work that you have created.
8. IMPORTANT: By submitting an entry, you are certifying that your work is original and have it does not contain anything you are not authorized to use or further resell.

#80 , #79 , #78 - very interesting - can you break / disconnect the first 'C' so its more apparent that its a 'C', and not looking like an 'O'? Also, please do not show the hand showing the business card, that's not necessary.
#77 , #76 - very nice ideas here as well. Can the ':' be placed outside the second 'C'? Alternatively, if you have thoughts on how the ':' could be incorporated better into the whole logo, I would love to see that!- 12 years ago

#73 - very interesting take! Can you make the 'C's thicker and increase the gap between them so they're more readable? You can also try having the text 'Options' or 'Private' after the lock in the same color - that would be interesting!
#72 - could you make the 'C's thicker and more prominent? The thickness of the 'O' could be reduced as well. Also, the text is 'Options' (not 'Option')- 12 years ago

#63 - interesting take on it. Can you incorporate a lock symbol in that styling?
#62 - not sure where you're going with that Mehran53. Do you want to build up further on it?
#61 and #60 - look interesting. I prefer the sober colors of #61 . The lock which you're attempting with the 'O' - doesn't appear prominently enough.- 12 years ago

#57 and #56 - what do those tear shapes signify? #56 - I am okay with the red circle, but it has to tie in with the CC:Options / email / messaging bit.
#58 - that's a nice icon, but rather generic. Can you think more on how to represent this better?- 12 years ago

Hi Kathie - #45 is interesting, however, I'm looking for creating a new icon / logo, rather than reusing clipart.

#50 - can you try replacing that with (a) darkish golden-brown color, kind of like this, but darker - http://vector.me/files/images/1/4/145767/closed_envelope_icon_clip_art_preview.jpg and try (b) replace that with a lock icon, same color - play with the idea of showing a lock, and showing a keyhole please.
#51 and #52 - the figurines are too small to be noticable and dont really communicate what I would like the logo to reflect.- 12 years ago

Thoughts on #42 ... (a) make the 'O' envelope brown - see how that looks. Also see you can make the 'O' like a regular rectangular envelope shape and size, and spreading below the limits of the 'C' figure. Another idea - try placing the concentric circles within an envelope figure.

Hi Kathie, could you use the numbering scheme here and preceed them with the # symbol? Your recent ones seem to imply a wireless aspect which doesn't tie in with the product.

Thanks Kathie - could you think of creating some logos which are more professional looking? And think of ideas which 'show' the ability to send specific messages and attachments.

Please note that this toolbar is intended primarily for corporate customers / companies where the use of Microsoft Outlook is prevalent and scenarios like the one I described are common.
