Design a simple page of a website (to be used by researcher and students). The winner might be assigned in later projects to work on the remaining pages of the website.

Important: I have 2 designs that I will chose one from. If you think you can provide a unique design, you can still participate.

I provide you the following:

1- Page mockup is attached (mockup.png). *** IMPORTANT Use my mockup as a layout guideline. Do not take it as it is and re-draw it in photoshop. The design does not have to use grey background. White background is fine
2- A video on youtube that explains the design requirement ( http://youtu.be/q3n8sOBn39k )
3- Website logo is attached (white and black background).

Important:
- Design for a for a screen size: 1440 x 900.
- Watch carefully the design requirements video before submitting a design.
- I like minimalist design.
- Please use Twitter bootstrap 3 components in your design.
- I like that you use Latex font in the “paper list”. Latex font can be downloaded from:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/cm-unicode/files/

Thank you for participating in this design contest. Freelancers: Backbon3 and mostafahawary provided great designs from the first iteration. And later iterations were just working out small details. At the end I decided to choose the design of mostafahawary.

To All designers: It is good to focus on the overall design (i.e. layout, colors, etc). But an important aspect of design, is FONT, FONT color and Font size and also Font size relative to other fonts on the page. I don't see balance in the choice of font sizes or color. Questions you should ask: How big the title font should be to make it readable and save space? How close each text on a list should be to the other one. I see that you put too much space and sometimes you squeeze them. It is always about the overall balance of the design. Thank you

Please focus on choosing different fonts. Don't use a lot of different fonts. The fonts you choose, might not match the font of my logo, but that is Ok, I can change my logo in the future. There are fonts that are known to appeal for students and researchers such as Latex and others. Please focus on this aspect.

Can someone come up with a design that is different. Left navigator bar should remain on the left. But please, make the main content (list of papers) and also the list of references to be lighters. No needed to use grey background. Think of of an elegant minimalist design. Thank you

Please do not imitate my mockup and translate it to photoshop. Use you design skills to better design a list of papers, choose the right font, choose the right amount of spacing without changing the layout set in my mockup. I did review the designs submitted so far. My only take is that the designs are just taking my mockup and translating it into PSD. My mockup should only serve as a guidline. I want you to come up with a new design, without changing the layout (i.e. the navigator bar should stay on the left). You don't have to use grey background, i was only suggesting it to avoid using line separators. Have a look a Facebook layout, they use the same concept. Thank you

  What do you mean by actual material? you can fill up the lists with whatever information you want. This contest is about producing a design in PSD. no HTML code is required
