Contest Brief

I've been making soap for a while now and want to upgrade my game and take my soap making bussiness to the next level. In order to do that, I need my soaps to look as good as the quality they are.

I need the development of a complete corporate identity for them which include logos and packaging.

What I want to communicate:
My soaps are made with 100% natural ingredients, 100% biodegradable, and no detergents. The oils I use in the recepies are purely vegetable oils which include: Coconut oil, Olive oil, Almond oil, Soybean oil, Sunflower oil, Corn oil and Beeswax. Other ingredientes I include are plant teas and infussions and natural esential oils and fragrances.

Since my products use premium ingredients, I want to charge a premium for them and are to be marketed to more upscale, conscious consumers who appreciate quality, are willing to pay for it and are into topics such as: health practices, vegetarianism/veganism, yoga, spirituality, eco-consciousness, nature, animal rights, permaculture, farmers markets, etc.

This is a company started and run by me. And although many of my customers are indeed female. I think it's important to give it a feel of where it's coming from:

- I have a PASSION for the ocean. I love to surf. I love water, sunrises and the breeze.
- I have a very natural and organic lifestyle. I go with the flow.
- Think ALL THINGS TROPICAL: Palm trees, coconuts, piña coladas, waves, sunlight, salt water, the ocean breeze, etc.

Now that I think about it, I like that name: TODO TROPICAL for the main line, I had also thought about "Jabonería 7 Bambúes" since it's the name of the farm where I started it last year (it means 7 Bamboos Soapery in spanish). I must confess that I need suggestions with the name as well. I'm just starting out with this and need you guy's expert opinions on how to craft a good image and give the company some personality.

The look I'm going for is artesanal but not home-made. Something easy to print in mass-scale and with not-too elaborate materials.

I would need a really eye-catching logo, a box or wrapper design for the soaps and ideally 7 different designs for the 7 different types of soaps on the individual packaging (maybe 7 different rubber stamp designs and a main package with a space to stamp it on?).

I've included some photos of what my soaps look like (unbranded ones) and some ideas and inspiration to use, although not necessarily does it have to look like these.

The type of paper I'm looking to print the wrappers on is craft or recycled paper, so please take that into account when designing with the colors. They tend to be a bit on the brown, tan shade.

What I want is to be able to print the wrappers on a mass scale and not be preocupied as to how many I have of each type of product. That way I can just STAMP the individual type as I'm packaging.

The individual STAMPS will be for each of the 7 different types of soaps and would IDEALLY be round shaped, include a little illustration to specify the type and the ingredients in letters.

I'm liking the BAMBÚ in the name and feel that's definitely the way to go. "Bambú" and "Jabonería Artesanal" underneath.

And while I do like the number 7 and what it implies, maybe it's not the best choice to include in the name. Perhaps as a background character? A way to incorporate a "777" would be phenomenal.

All of the packaging should have the following on the FRONT:
    - Prominent LOGO
    - A space on the side for a STAMP which specifies the individual type of soap and its components.
    - The words 100% Biodegradable, sin detergentes
    - a little "recycle" logo or something else that drives the point home of the eco-friendlyness
    - Net WT. 100 g

i believe that this concept is to work hard and develop individual identities tied together - a better more corporate approach would be to make one main logo that bids the business together then develop adaptations for every variant or product line thus givin g each product line its own identity as well as allowing the viewer to hold on to brand recall and creating loyalty for the main company as well - however, the options presented do seem interesting but nothing that has an oomph factor in it allowing and encouraging the off the shelf consumer to make a call to action and buy the product

I agree with you completely. I like some of the themes presented but am still wanting to see something that gives me that POW! THIS IS IT! factor.

The oils I've mentioned are the base oils (meaning that they are the basic recipe for every soap and should appear on the wraps).

    The variants are as follows:

    - Vanilla Muffin (vanilla, oats, honey & cinnamon)

    - Mocaccino (coffee & cacao)

    - Citronella & Lemongrass

    - Valle floral (Roses, Jazmin & Manzanilla)

    - Lavander, Kaolin Clay & Almond Milk

    - Patchoulli & Red Clay

    - Pure Cinnamon
