  I don't understand .. the Logo must have pencils, pens, maths sign, arrows? .. or should not have, because it's a little ambiguos in what you written : "it mustn't contain pencils, pens, maths sign, arrows"

     No favorite colors or combinations but it must not be taken for granted (so it mustn't contain pencils, pens, maths sign, arrows)...this is what is written in design brief. i guess ch doesn't wants to use any of them in design rather focusing on what tag line says. hope this helps. :)
