Do 2D/3D Redesign of Mall Kiosk
- Status: Closed
- Prize: ₱5500
- Entries Received: 36
- Winner: ehab288
Contest Brief
EMO Jewelry would like to update the look/feel of our mall kiosk. Our old kiosk design (see attached file) is far too dark and masculine, and we would like to ask you talented Freelancers for help. Here are our specifications:
- Total kiosk size: 8 feet x 8 feet
- Target Feel of New Design: Flirty, fun and feminine. It's bright, attractive, and our clients will feel very light and happy when they come and buy.
- Target Look of New Design: Lots of soft curves. If possible, please incorporate full-length mirror and a 20" LCD TV
- Colors to be Used: Predominantly pearl white, with strong accents of fuchsia and silver.
- Kiosk will be custom-made, and hence, the design can be unique, distinctive and yet still feminine. Design has to be modular, meaning that the showcases can be configured in different ways, (i.e. 8x8, 4x8)
- Our clients are mostly 25-35 year old young female professionals who love to accessorize and have good fashion sense.
- Output: CAD, JPEG, or Photoshop file of a 2D/3D Model of a new mall kiosk, complete with colors and measurements
About Us: EMO is the first and largest stainless steel jewelry brand in the Philippines with hundreds of designs to choose from. Thanks in advance for your participation and looking forward to your entries soon!

Can it stick out from 8x8/4x8 just a little? Or must it be strictly within those bounds?

Also, how tall maximum? Can it be over 6 ft. tall?
Can it include one basic spinning object?
And one more question, how much space does your register take up?
Thanks!- 12 years ago
-
Contest Holder - 12 years ago
Yes, it can stick out a little. In the end, we are looking for a general idea/design that fits our needs.
6 feet tall may be a bit too much, but throw it in anyway. If it's a great idea, and we choose your entry, we will modify it anyway. Same advice for basic spinning object.
Lastly we will just be using the standard cash register. There is a lot of liberties on how much space the different kiosk sections can take up. Just limit them though to the kiosk area/dimensions posted on the contest description.- 12 years ago

Thanks ehab288 for the head's up. So danyphantom2040, please, do NOT steal other people's ideas. You are giving Freelancer.com a bad name. :-( Also, this is a food kiosk. Not a jewelry kiosk which I specified.

An interesting look. You used curves which is good!!!
How do you make this more modular though? Making it more modular would make the kiosk easier to adjust even when the mall allocates us a bigger or smaller area.- 12 years ago

Basically you need the 3D file to be used as a reference or you will require it to be exact size to go for 3D printing or similar stuff?

can explain this more "Design has to be modular, meaning that the showcases can be configured in different ways, (i.e. 8x8, 4x8)"
-
Contest Holder - 12 years ago
Let's say the space allotted to me by the mall is only 4x8 instead of 8x8, your kiosk can still fit this change of allotted space. Hence, less fixed materials and form. You can add or reduce the size by adding or removing certain components without altering the larger portions of the kiosk.

Contest Holder - 12 years ago
Hi Amren, unfortunately, we have decided not to seal the contest as we're looking for the best ideas. We believe that at times, the best ideas can be derived from someone else's ideas, but with one's own creative twist. We would also like to be open about our feedback, so you can be guided about what we want or don't want. We are serious about the contest however, and really hope you can submit your entry. :)
