Contest Brief
Hi,
I am looking for someone who could make five low poly medieval mace and dagger models for me. In total it will be 10 low poly models. You are allowed to pick from reference images which one to model. The models do not have to be exactly as the reference images, they can be slightly different.
What I need:
Mesh:
1. Triangles should not exceed 700.
2. All models can be in one file saved as “Max”.
3. The style I am looking for is more or less realistic.

Textures:
1. Diffuse texture,
2. Normal map texture,
3. Specular map texture,
4. Texture size: 2048
5. All textures should be in one PSD file with layers so I can manage them if I will need to change anything.
IMPORTANT: Use standard material. No fancy materials please.

“The models had bad UVW layout, but it is my fault, because I did not include any briefing on it. However I mentioned it is going to be used in games, so I was expecting a person to know all about it. Models look good, however some of them look a bit flat. Needs more work. Probably my fault as well, because I accepted the end result without viewing them first. Overall it is good, but needs more work. The freelancer was great in communication and provided the models on time. This is my first project so I have learned something as well. ”

Since you ignored my question I will create them in blender and upload the models exported to *.fbx, 3DS MAX is capable of importing fbx models without a problem

this is a work in progress screenshot. i am using 3d max 9 and current tri count is "262" if you need to reduce more than that i will try or if you need more details i can do it as well as you wish.please be kind enough to rate for better understanding regarding to this matter.- 12 years ago

all mymodels done in zbrush , you can chose the polycount andill give you the final 3d max , and fbx file with textures and your desired polycount or even design the same weapon and do diferent polycounts for lod

hi i uploaded the dagger , if you like it and you think i have a chance to win please tell me and ill do the rest i can do them all in one day , i can create my own weapons or the ones you ask in the concept , or a mix of the concept and my own personal style , what ill give you is a 3d max file with normal maps, sepcular maps, and diffuse map , all in 2048 x 2048 photoshop format so you can change the size to 512 , 1024 , etc , and export it as jpg , png or whatever , the file i give you are low poly , game ready with 3 diferent level of detail (polycount),,,,,, im a 3d game character designer and this is what i do for living :)

If i export as object, so that you can bring in Max? basically I do not have max installed. I am uploading a Model with sword I created few days back, check and let me know.

I just looked over the reference images, even though you asked for maces and daggers I only see a dagger there, why did you include images of shields and axes when that is unrelated to what you asked for?

I just started this project, I do not own 3ds max but I know that Blender is capable of creating the models you require

No Maya please or OBJ. I am asking specifically for "max" file so I can open it and change anything I need to. The models I will receive from contest winner will be modified by me to have 3 LOD levels (3 extra lower poly models). It is to lower down the triangle count on screen so the game runs fast with hundreds of them.

This is going to be used in games, and game engines don't have metal ray and vray. So my answer is no.
