Contest Brief

I am writing a fiction book that I would like a few drawings done. My idea is a pencil drawing, but not at all required. the picture should be a family of seven. Father, mother, son age 38, son, age 35, Son age 30, Son, age 29, Son age 14. This is set in a medieval setting. Father, mother and sons age 38, 35, need to holding a sword and shield. Son age 30 wielding a short spear and sword. Son age 29 two axes and son age 14 a long wooden staff. They don't have to be holding them, just visible.

Father, mother, son age 38 and 35 ware heavy plate armor (any color combination - (not comical)), Son age 30, 29 leather armor, black for son age 30, any none comical color or color mix for the 29 year old. Age 14 son, long brown robe. White skin family, Father has a large beard, 38 year old has a medium size beard. 35 year old should be best looking, most attractive. 29 year old should be very close second in looks also very playful.. 30 year old, should not be ugly, but decent looking. People look at him and pass him by for his brothers. 14 year old, young and innocent, playful. 14 year old worships his older brother age 35 but wants to be like the 30 year old. Everyone should be defined in stature and look like they are a force to be reckoned with. They are not a wimpy or small family in any regard. They are a foreboding group.

Any type of art is just fine. I do not want a comical look, or a Japanese's style family. Does not have to be pencil. No limits except not comical in any regard. Sense of humor or silly to reflect the 29 year old and 14 year old, just not an overwhelming sense of comic.

  Either way. The perfect picture in my head is black and white, but if you like color, then by all means. Maybe I just need to see the color.

Ciao! No real size in mind. It would be reduced to fit inside the pages of the book. It would be a picture that takes up a full page of the book. Does that make sense? Or does that not answer your question. Horizontal comes to mind, but only because you asked. I am not sure it matters. Horizontal I would think gives more room - but I am certainly not an artist.
