Contest Brief
Our carnival group Sparkling Vibrations is about to announce this year’s theme, and I need a punchy video that puts our theme and fantasy-style costumes center stage. The story is simple: a tribal sound (drums) seeing a strong woman, like in the movie The Woman King. Dark colors changing into vibrant colours of the logo of Sparkling Vibrations.
The text: Sparkling Vibrations presents……..
The Tribal Princes Era.
A fast, vibrant buildup that ends with a full reveal of the outfits, their bold colour palettes, intricate patterns, and the dramatic accessories/props each dancer will carry.
The video ends with the text
All Women. One Tribe. One Vibe.
Here’s what I already have:
• High-res photos of finished costumes and detail shots of masks, capes, and light-up props
Logo of Sparkling Vibrations
• The soundtrack we’ll use during the parade
What I’m missing—and what this project covers—is the creative editing, motion graphics, and any light visual effects that will make those elements feel magical and cohesive. Think quick cuts, subtle particle effects, animated overlays that trace the fabric pattern, and color-grading that makes every turquoise feather and iridescent gem pop without looking artificial.
Deliverables
• 30 second video, 1080p (or higher), MP4 + source project files (Premiere Pro, DaVinci, or Final Cut—whichever you use) for use on Instagram
• One square teaser (≤15 sec) optimized for Instagram
• Simple end screen with our group logo and parade date
Acceptance criteria
1. Colors stay true to the reference photos; no oversaturation that alters fabric hue.
2. Accessories/props receive at least three close-ups or highlighted moments.
3. Final file passes Instagram/Facebook compression tests with no artifacting.
Timeline is flexible within a week once assets are transferred via Drive. I’ll give clear, time-stamped notes after the first cut; two rounds of revisions should finish it. Let’s make the fantasy come alive on screen.
