Farm Palm Tree Identification and Tracking System Using QR Code

Contest Brief

I need a application that lets me tag every palm tree on the farm with its own QR code. The flow is straightforward: I enter a new tree, the program generates and prints a unique code, we fix the label in the field, and any time the code is scanned the system instantly pulls up that tree’s record so we can add or edit details—species, current growth notes, location in the plot, or any other data points we decide to track.

The software must run smoothly on Windows 10 laptops and work offline, storing its data in a lightweight local database with an easy way to back up or sync when we have a connection. A clean, uncluttered interface with large buttons is essential because farm staff will be using it; think Electron, WPF, .NET, JavaFX or whatever desktop framework you prefer, as long as installation and maintenance stay simple.

Deliverables
• Installable desktop app with QR generation, printing and scanning
• Full source code with build instructions
• Database schema plus a small sample dataset
• Quick-start guide for farm staff

Acceptance criteria
PLEASE NOTE ****100 card should be done to be evaluated and before choosing the freelancer****
• Creating and printing a QR for a new tree takes no more than three clicks
• Scanning a code retrieves the correct record in under two seconds on a mid-range laptop
• Data exports cleanly to CSV with a single action
