Contest Brief

About our product:

I need a good name for a new self managed superannuation product we are launching in Australia. It is an online solution which slashes the traditional fees associated with super accounts. For the average mid 30's Australian couple it will save them about $400,000 in fees by the time they retire at age 65. It is a Self Managed Super product which puts the members / clients in control - and it's very different to the traditional products thus the name should be different to all the usual ones.

Thanks for entries to date, however we're not close to picking a winner.

We are looking for a name that is a maximum of 8 letters (ideally just 4-5 letters), a single word and it doesn't need to include the word super. Please see below outline of what we're after:

It needs to communicate some of the following values:

Manage your own superannuation/money
Low fees
Nothing hidden
You are in control
Trust
Confidence
Different
Better for you
It is a financial services product - thus the name can't be tacky

Think of brands like "Xero" it's clean, links loosely to numbers which is the core of their business (accounting software). We are building a global business so it should stack up against brands like Xero, SAP, AMP, MYOB, Sage, Hulu, Atlassian, Reckon, Class, Blackberry, Optus, etc

Important is:
- that the *.com and *.com.au address of your suggestion must be free
- ideally social media addresses are available for twitter and facebook
- that the name consists of one small word (4-5 letters ideally) to a maximum 2 words and ideally a maximum of 8 characters.
- the name is easy to spell correctly and difficult to misspell
- the name might be not english, if the name sounds good and has some good meaning
- the name could also be "wrong" english like used in thanx or xero
- the name must be usable in professional business and have some meaning that relates to the product
- the name must only consist of latin characters like a-z and 2,4,+,-

Some final thoughts to clarify: I realized that sometimes putting together two real words leads to a result that is too straight. It has no charm.

Therefore, please
- avoid simply putting two real words together
- avoid using "th" as it is hard to speak for many people
- try limiting the name to about 4-8 characters
- try playing around with fantasy words (with some meaning!)
- try to keep it meaningful
- I would prefer words ending with vocal like o, u, a (i and e less preferred)
- names with 2 - 3 syllables seem to work best
- name may be a little cute, but still professional

The reason being that a business name should reflect the purpose of a business. Please dont mind but E.g. Naked Super sounds like a pornographic site name. Similarly, Super IQ, sounds like a educational site for improving IQ and others follow too. Please dont mind by this. Just a personal opinion. Thank you

To be honest, i actually did not like the previous names that were selected. the names like naked super, super IQ etc. don't project your business idea at all. anyways, i have shared some names. hope you like them. thanks
