Contest Brief

We have a family innovative mobile apps launching around the world currently (Rotterdam, South Africa, Netherlands, Ecuador) and am bringing it to the US market now with an impending launch in Hawaii and Los Angeles. It is the first directory in the world that lets 'the businesses do the talking' as opposed to social media driving the content.. through 140 character text broadcasts into the local guide/directory, meaning the user is not just presented with the NAP (name-addrss-phone) but usable time-relevant and location relevant info to better match situations and preferences while on the go... at a glance.

We are looking to the take stand alone apps and bring them together under one national brand /app. Hence we are calling the platform "Glance" and need a logo and app icon created for it. It needs to be sexy and happening for markets like LA and NYC which is our next stop... so make it clean, but have it pop. Understand this is lifestyle.. so shopping, dining, nightlife, personal services (ie salon, spa, services, etc) is what people will find when they come here so keep that in mind.

Please work up a logo for Glance... and then apply that for a sharp icon. It should convey the lifestyle benefits of having this real-time hyperlocal content at your fingertips. Thanbks and good luck

Try to convey in the logo/icon they feelings of (keywords) immediacy, convenience, speed, local, directory, "at a glance".... things of that nature as well

#2 i like the use of depth.. but the top half of the G seems to off to be easily recognizable... i say that as i could see the app icon being just the G from the logo...

thanks for the entry #1... but i am looking for something completely different image wise. more sophisticated, city town illusion... the font is intersting. Maybe try a backdrop of a city skyline with glance in foreground... just a thought.
