      We like the third in the first row, from the entry rated with 5 starts=) But maybe better to use colorful pictures on the grey background. I mean, to color the rook without changing the "button" itself.

    I put together some quick icon samples, I didnt have a lot of time, but I figured its a wide enough sample of styles. I thinking the 3d style (second icon from left in first row) would work best, we can do two versions or recolor them so they work on any background color

    rajagee using a photo realistic chess piece is going to limit their reproduction capabilities, I would use a vector chess piece that can be scaled to any resolution. Just my opinion. I firmly believe in adding to the spirit of competition, as you appear to have really "taken" to my last suggestion lol I figured I would throw this out there and see if it helped.

    Please see new entry #30. I noticed on the editors choice page the image all have rectangular borders, I thought we could draw some attention to your app with a slightly different look. The image obviously still has rectangular borders they are just white =0) Does this concept work? Otherwise Ill go back to the drawing board

      #36 - please, don't use the photos, especially where Harry Kasparov is so easy to recognize. It may cause copyright problems.

    lol it looks like your are intent on winning rajagee, that's a lot of entries! Its 3 am here and I need sleep. Be on your toes I have a new idea for tomorrow/tonight! Also just a suggestion from me and I most certainly cannot claim to know the mind-set of the contest holder,you may want to try an entry that adheres to their theme of chess and earth.     IMPORTANT: due to the rebranding the name of the app has changed to the ChessOK Playing Zone. It should be used in the promo-graphics instead of ChessPlanet. The theme of chess-and-Earth isn't changing, only the text.

    uploaded new submission #24 with some coloring (tone) fixes.I have some great ideas for the remainder of the project! Its an exciting concept many possibilities. Have some other variation I will be uploading in a bit. Would you like to see the concept with different chess pieces? Or are you good with the chosen piece.

    I have just submitted my graphic, it can be scaled however you would like. It can be the promotional or the feature graphic with a bit of work. I believe the concept of the planet and the chess piece, or any other secondary graphic is outdated (its been used one too many times, just Google earth logos or planet logos, I went for a new angle, a new concept. I think you will enjoy. Just for clarification you are not asking for a contest entry to include all three submissions (promotional,feature, and icons) are you? That is quite a bit of work with no guarantee of payment at the end, I have children to feed =0) I am new here, but my understanding is the purpose of the contest is to choose a winning concept, right?

    Please, read the requirements carefully. We need not the icon, but promotional and feature graphics AND a set of ten icons. Not an icon for a application!
