  Thanks for the link. It gives a much better idea of what you need.
  This is my first attempt to design a pattern for socks - so if you could answer a couple of stupid questions:
  - does the pattern needs to be seamless, meaning that it has to match on the opposite side?
  - can this be created in Photoshop, considering all the "special effects" to achieve the look? If yes, what size?
