re QR codes: To allow for a variety of scanners, some better than others, the contrast of the QR code against background needs to be maximised. e.g. I think black/dark green against white/very pale green will scan better than white on pale green.

    3. Template postcard (2 sided, landscape format) - this design should have no product logo. Preferred designs are #5 for the simplicity (easy to add different product shots to very basic design and change text to suit different products), design #17 without large rokii logo, and with design #8 reverse side colours and layout, and QR code added.
Design#32 - I like the strong horizontal lines - this design could work for a variety of products if the rokii logo & main image were replaced by one large main image.

    4. Template poster (portrait format) - Preferred design is #17 without rokii logo and with QR code. This poster design needs to be flexible enough to substitute the main image with either styled interior images featuring products or hero shots of product on white background.

    2. rokii poster (portrait format) - All posters for rokii need "Australian International Design Awards Finalist 2012" added (see comments above). For design#17 - I like this design for a poster image - limited text, large image, line of smaller images. I'd like the rokii logo to be pale green on white background, if this is sufficiently easy to read, if not, dark green on white background.
Design#37 - I'd prefer the small row of images to be larger, as in #17. I like the QR code. I like the large logo on white. The greens used don't seem to match the logo - are they the correct Pantone ones?

Poster & Postcard for rokii now need to include a small badge saying "Australian International Design Awards Finalist 2012" as the product has just been announced as a finalist.

    1. rokii postcard (2 sided, landscape format) - preferred design is #10 as the pale green on front is more subtle, but would prefer rokii logo on white like in #35. Needs "Australian International Design Awards Finalist 2012" added (I think this would look good in a round shape, but it depends how well the words fit - it has been added to the website by my web designers, but I don't really like their design - the badge the words are in is too big and it just looks clumsy - I'd prefer a more subtle look). The greens used don't seem to match the logo - are they the correct Pantone ones?

Postcard size will usually be printed in standard A6 size, but may occasionally be in A5.

Design 6 has a good layout for a poster - main image large, large text logo (but the actual 'rokii' logo is not correct), and set of smaller images below with a brief large text sentence. Colours: I don't want black included the in the colour scheme, I'd prefer the two greens used in my logo (Pantone codes included in brief).

Designs 8 and 10 are great for the product specific postcard I have in mind (detailed on one side, simpler product shots and large text on reverse). The features I like are the curved lines, simple and clear layout of information, and no extraneous detail detracting from the product itself.
I'd like to see the same features for a larger scale poster format - poster will have large product image(s) and very brief large text, plus product name & company logo. I'd like the posters in portrait layout. Whatever features are used in the product specific poster will be repeated in generic posters so a consistent theme is developed, and the posters look good hung together and look cohesive together.

      Thanks!
Design#3 - I like the simplicity and graphic quality of your design. There's a lot of information to fit on this, so the challenge is to make it look well arranged and sleek rather than busy.
Design#4 - It's a good start. I like the clean, understated look. I think it might look better to change the text above to a thicker font, and change the wording to 'I heart rokii' (rokii is the product name, and the heart shape used would be in the same colour red as the red rokii in the main image).

      thanks for the feedback!
when you mention heart shape...are you suggesting to put the words 'I heart rokii' inside a heart. Or to write 'I <3 rokii' using a red heart in place of the '<3'

Design3 is the type of simple, graphic arrangement with restrained colours that I'd like for the postcard on rokii that needs to include lots of information in a neat, easy to read format.
Design4 is neat and understated but needs something to make it pop - it's a good basis for the generic postcard template though.

Shop signage template is intended to be about A5 size, a small cardboard sign propped on a table/display shelf. Posters will be A1 in size.

      Graphics Studio,
If you submit a couple of designs that fit my requirements, I'll happily upgrade the prize to get the rest of the work done. I haven't used contests before,so I wasn't sure what I would get and whether it would suit.

The look I require is to appeal to design conscious parents or homeowners, with a simple and sophisticated graphic look in a restrained colour palette.
The product image should be the main focus, with few elements detracting from this focus.

If I find a designer who submits a great look that I love, I'll be happy to upgrade the contest prize.

Hi SJGilder, I have uploaded my first idea for your contests. The concept is to use "dreaming monsters" :) some soft textured details: made with love, NEW...
All monsters are hand painted, if you like this concept I can draw more, maybe for each product? So, this concept we can apply on Posters, postcards and also shop signage, mailing... hope you like it! Please let me know what you think about?

    Thank you!

Thanks for submitting your ideas so quickly!
I would like the look of the postcards/posters to be less cluttered and more sophisticated looking. I want the look to appeal to design-conscious parents, as opposed to looking like something that would attract the attention of a child.
I don't like the border as it looks too busy and messy. Clean and simple and graphic is what I'd like to see, with less colours and action going on around the product.
I don't really like the characters (stuffed and painted) in this context, as the key focus needs to be the product - I think they draw attention away from the product.
