I'm writing a new novel and I need to get a cover for Amazon. Here are the specifics:

Cover Size: 1563x2500
Title: Flight 370
Author: Greg Strandberg

The book is about Malaysian Airlines 370 being hijacked by terrorists, flown to the US, and then into the new Freedom Tower, which is on the 9/11 ground-zero site.

Pretty crazy, and what I want the image to be is the Freedom Tower with an airplane flying toward it. It would be best to use an airplane picture with no logo so I don't get into legal problems.

I just really need that title and author name to show up better. People have to see these things at 250x250 size, maybe smaller.

  The actual pixel dimensions as displayed for the image on Amazon are 160x160 but depending on your monitor and settings they will appear differently but they are approximately the same as the thumbnails we see here. Images that are high resolution will reduce fine. That's why they require 300 ppi, hence the 1563x2500 request which is 8.5"x11" at 300 ppi. I wouldn't be surprised if some of these are the right pixel dimension but not the correct resolution.

  You should remove the British Airways markings and instead of blurring the background you should try reducing the background contrast by placing a solid box over it and reducing the opacity so it is on lightly visible. This will enable you to create more contrast between the authors name and the confusing background image
