I am writing a book that has the title "Hive" (like bees, hivemind) and I need a catchy subtitle for the book that describes the content and also suggests ways the book might apply to people's personal lives.
In the book, I argue that we evolved to be deeply social creatures, that our thoughts and emotions can be contagious, and that we sometimes operate more like a hivemind than separate, solitary creatures. I also argue that emerging technologies like social media and the smartphone have enhanced this social nature, both for good and for ill. This information might be useful for anyone interested in managing or influencing others -- CEOs, coaches, marketing execs.
So the relevant concepts would include: technology/social media, our social natures based on psychology and neuroscience, and real-life applications.
Good models to emulate:
Contagious: Why Things Catch On
The Power of Habit: Why We Do What We Do in Life and Business
Predictably Irrational: The Hidden Forces that Shape our Decisions
Curious: The Desire to Know and Why Your Future Depends On It
(this last one is my favorite - intriguing but not too cheesy)
So I'm looking for:
