Homepage and Internal Page Mockup (2 Pages)

Contest Brief

We're looking for site redesign options to coincide with our logo and overall feel of the site—one homepage design and one category page design. Our goal is a design that emphasizes functionality and navigation. No HTML knowledge is necessary for this project. The colors of any submitted design should work well with the logo colors.

Part 1: Homepage Design:
Concise and easy navigation is key. Potentially expanding the viewable area to add more information, products, and links could be valuable. The template links and/or buttons should remain, but the design and potential location of these buttons/links should be an additional consideration for the project.
Our Homepage: http://www.vacpartswarehouse.com

Part 2: Vacuum Model Page:
The category page design should function in a way that allows customers to see the schematics and corresponding parts list quickly and effectively. Minimizing scrolling time and delivering as much information Above the Fold is paramount. The category page design should utilize the same template as the homepage so a customer can easily navigate throughout the site.

Also, be sure to submit a design for the Internal Vacuum Model Page as well, as this is a 2-part contest! Entries are looking good so far, so keep up the good work!

So, just to be clear, you're looking for a redesign of both of these pages using the content already present, correct? :)

Sorry, I responded to the board and not you specifically. For the most part, Part Saerch, Model Search, Left-Hand Navigation, and our 3-Click Drop Down Menu are the most critical aspects of this design. The internal page should use the schematics and parts lists more effectively than they currently do.

We want to make sure everyone is aware: Site Navigation and Search Functions (Left navigation bar, drop-down menu, part search, and model search) Are critical aspects of this design and should be focused on heavily. Our goal is to make it easier for our customers to SEE and to USE our site navigation.

I can send you a larger logo file. But the image that's onsite is the sufficient size.

Yes that is correct. But use your creativity to update the look, style, and feel of these pieces. The internal "vacuum model page" should all the schematics images and parts lists, but an updated way to present these for more visibility and increased navigation would be great.
