Contest Brief

I would like an illustration done of a Detective. The character will be full bodied and take up most of the frame, with a suitable background that conveys his profession. The setting is 1920's, with a mix of horror and noir to the atmosphere.

The style and theme is to mimic that of the reference images attached by Mike Mignola.

The priorities for this project are to:
- Convey this character's job as a detective (private eye)
- Express the horror and noir themes
- Capture Mike Mignola's style

Minimum resolution of 2048px wide by 4096px high, in either Photoshop or Illustrator format.

I still have more characters to be done, and will offer this job to the winner of this contest.

I couldn't submit. I got to know late and had worked on it but at last minute the contest ended & I am unable to submit. Can you please reopen it for sometime? Trust me it would be worth it.

  Also there are some other artists who are saying they rushed their work. So if you reopen it for 1-2 days you can get more better entries.
