Contest Brief

STYLE

Here is the current illustration for a character for a 2D RPG video game currently in production. The game itself is darker and more sombre in tone than typical RPG games. The characters themselves should retain a vibrancy and feeling of life. The darker tones should come through more in the colour choices, as is shown in the current illustration.

BRIEF

What I am looking for is the same design presented re-illustrated in a more polished and professional look.

- Current illustration is amateur, and I want to elevate it to a more professional level on-par with illustrations used in the professional game industry today.
- Final illustration needs to be to a higher calibre, still a semi-realistic style.
- Final illustration must be full body, in a pose that conveys personality and character.
- The character is named Samantha. One of the attached images includes some details as to her life and personality.
- The outfit is a short plaid skirt (very kilt-like). She is wearing a red tank with a hand-made leather vest over-top of it. Make-up is dark lips with a bright eye-shadow. Although not featured in the illustration, she wears bulky combat boots with white socks peaking out.

DELIVERABLES

- The illustration should be provided in a Photoshop (PSD) format.
- The illustration should be a relatively large raster file so I can resize if need be or if wanting to utilize in promotional materials. Large constitutes at least 1500-2000 pixels in height.

Attached is the original illustration and concept artwork to give a sense of look, colours, and details.

Hi, I've sent my image, but again, please, make the prize guaranteed or I'll have to withdraw my entry (it's just my policy). The original illustration is approx 3400 x 6800 px and 500 dpi. Really enjoyed drawing this pic, and hope you like it :)

  I am giving it some consideration. I will let you know that I think your style is a good fit. I especially like the way her face turned out. I will say however, that perhaps the boots are a little too much; could be shorter, and with a more prominent brown. That's my only criticism however, the rest is great.

@TomMoser - Fencing is a hobby, don't include a sword, or a fencing pose, in the image.

@nilimasarkar - The image has to be at a more professional level than the ones I've submitted.
