Contest Brief

The company is called “Power Drive Efficiency”. The company makes power drives that control the supply of electricity to electric motors in an intelligent way, thereby reducing power consumption, creating greater efficiency and increasing motor life. Testing has demonstrated that the drive can provide significant energy usage reductions.

Please use all three initials if you are including the letters in the logo - "PDE" not "PD"

Requirements
- The logo will need to have some element that will work as a favicon (16x16px) that is clearly identifiable as belonging to PDE.
- The logo needs to work in black and white.#, as well as colour.
- Lightning bolts are used in warning signs for electrical danger, and we don't want to have that association with PDE products. Try to find another way to illustrate a connection to electricity or energy. For example, symbols for electrical components such as transformers, thyristors and inverters might be effective, as would symbols for AC and ground
- On/off symbols don't quite convey the PDE product accurately. It doesn't switch the energy supply on and off, but intelligently controls the power supply. Other symbols associated with power supply and control would be more appropriate.
- Energy efficiency is a key part of PDE's product offering. Finding a way to convey this would be a big advantage.
- The system works specifically with electrical motors, so it would be interesting to incorporate this into your design.
- If your design is built around the initials of the company, please use "PDE" rather than "PD"

Graphics which are just based around the letters of the name won't be rated as highly as graphics which convey some aspect of the product itself.
