Hi guys,

Welcome to the logo design contest. What I am looking for here is a logo for an iPhone application named a generic "Emotion". Feel free to use your creativity in the design as I am open to a number of different types of design. I will list some tips that you may want to consider below, however the overriding feature is that it must be clean and with very striking colours.

The app is about emotions and I do want the logo to reflect what the app does but it can be in a variety of ways so don't limit yourself with narrow thinking. I am open to a whole range of ideas.

Here a few ideas I've had for you to consider:

The logo is likely to go onto a black or dark background but not essential.
Ideally, somehow show a "speed" or "fast" element in the design.
I love striking colours. Thin neon lines and colours on a black background are very appealing but do not overdo them.
I also love a high tech look.
I'm not ruling out using a version of an emoji in the logo if done well as they are universally understood. If used though, it will need to be a modern take on the standard emoji.
It can be as simple as you like. I love simplicity.
Don't include too many elements.
Make sure it is clean and not too busy with a bunch of different graphics or too many different colours.

These are just ideas, feel free to consider all or none of these.

I need two separate files, one with the logo to go onto websites etc and one iphone app icon. Please provide all designs in PSD format.
