Contest Brief

I am looking for someone to author a short story based on a real crime. Ideally the story will be between 2500 - 5000 words.

The story must be engaging through out the duration. Have some character development, and contain a surprise ending/plot twist while maintaining the true facts of the story. Drawing the audience in and delivering a captivating story is highly important.

The true crime story should be based on the Bloody Benders from the 1800's and should be written in third person.

The purpose of this contest is to identify a writer to join my youtube channel team.

Attached is an example of a story with the the style of writing containing a plot twist or surprise ending that I am looking for.
