The name of the company is: Image Glassworks

The domain name is: imageglassworks.com

I'm starting a new glass company and in my area most glass shops are still "old school" mom & pop shops who don't take advantage of today's technology. My brother and I are trying to set ourselves away from that trend and go with a newer more modern approach.

So while we chose a name that we think stands out, we are looking for a logo that is sharp, sleek, and modern looking. Colors are up in the air for us, I was thinking an aqua with maybe some grey/silver? If you have better ideas in terms of colors and you want to run with them I will definitely be open minded. I am not nor will ever be anything close to artistic. ;)

Just a thought -- my wife was onto something by maybe using a "cog" as the "O" in glassworks? I dunno.. figured it was a cool idea worth putting out there to the pros. Again, not a definite.. just a thought. For those of you that may not know what a cog is, you can search google for it and it comes up. http://goo.gl/9csxM

Hello everybody, I really appreciate the effort put forth into helping begin my journey into a new business.

I myself am more of a technical person and lack the creative aspect, and I truly appreciate the different ideas and approaches many of you took towards the logo. So for that I would just like to take one second and thank everybody for their entries.

In an effort to assist those looking for ideas on how to better their chances of winning future contests, I'm just going to explain why I chose Lozenger's design.

1) I think he really captured what I was looking for. Simple, modern, colorful but easy to read.

  2) Over the past two days I've consulted with him several times. Allowing for the time difference, work schedules, etc, I believe his response time to my several inquiries was terrific. From my brief he began with design #62 , and then after some discussion he quickly came up with #132 , and then after a little more discussion he quickly turned out #183 .
  
  A speedy response and updated design is such an intricate part of these contests. And I'm not saying I'm unhappy with anyone else I spoke with, I'm just speaking in general.
  
  So again please accept my appreciation to everyone who took the time to submit a design!
