Contest Brief
I am looking for a new logo design for my company. It will be used on the website / business cards / newsletters / stickers / t-shirts / hats.
I like simplicity in logo design, black and white and grey are ideal, but there can also be a small strategic infusion of one of the primary colours if the designers thinks it would be more effective. I will upload some of favorite logo's, so you can see my taste.
The company specialises in VIP instruction of watersports and wintersports. So one idea could be to combine a wave, mountain, and air into a logo somehow, or something completely different could work as well. I would like the logo to feature together with the company name "Kichea". Kichea is a Swahili word that means the first ray of sunlight that shines through the clouds after a storm, and can be seen in my old logo. I have experimented with just the letter K done in various ways and kind of liked it, but couldn't really get anything working the way I wanted.
The moto of the company is "Raising the Bar". This is taken from kitesurfing instruction, but of course also means an elevated level of service. I'm not sure if this should be incorporated into the logo or not, I'm open to suggestions.
Regarding font, I am partial to more modern, minimalistic, and thin fonts. However, am open to other fonts if it fits in better.

Hi Everyone, some really great entries. Most people seem to be focused on the mountain and wave concept. Would be great if some of you could try something completely different. How about just the word "Kichea" in a font similar to that of #224, #38 , or #189 ? Then playing with injecting maybe a tiny bit of blue from #214 . Or maybe just playing with the letters in the word a little bit. I want something simple and elegant that conveys a sense of top quality. Or, try something completely different. I have all ready selected a couple of the entries as probable winners of the contest in my mind, but it seems that there is such creativity out there that there could easily be a design out there in someones head that is even better.... Keep up the great work!!!

Hi. Thanks to everyone who keep putting in amazing designs, it's difficult to choose with so much great work being submitted. I have one final request before the end of the contest and I choose a winner. Would love to see any designs using just the word "Kichea". Not sure about upper or lower case. Very elegant, very upper class, very modern. Something similiar to what Uber has www.uber.com maybe?
