Contest Brief

Hello!
We are looking for a new logo for our law firm. Some guiding principles:

1. NO web 2.0 lens flare, glossiness or other iphone-esque puffery
2. We would like a flat 2 color logo that is easily transferred from web to print to TV and back.
3. Text should be "Miller Law Firm"
4. Logo should have an icon element that we can separate from the text when needed.
5. No gavels, scales, or other overdone elements for the legal profession.

This is good example although the icon is not very good for our purposes. The color comparison and typeface selection are good:

  Yes it's nice, possibly more suited to someone specialising in conflict resolution as the dove and laurel seem to symbolise, eg, the United Nations.
