OK all, thank you for all the logos you sent, over 700 it's a very good score. I selected the 7 best logo received so far and rated 5 stars to be candidate for wining the contest. Now for the last two days, I will make a survey of which logo is preferred. So please do not send any more logo unless I ask you to make some modifications. They will not compete any more.

Hi, please extend your deadline for additional entries. You may get even better designs especially in the last few hours before closing. You don't have to declare a winner immediately after the contest closes. You have 14 days after the contest closes to declare a winner.

I'm quite happy of the latest results there are a lot of improvement from the first day. The goal is to work another 24 hours on the logo and then to give me the two last days to decide why of the 5 stars wins. For this I will ask people around me who will vote for their prefered logo. So for the logo who got the 5 stars, you can now send me color variation of your logo. Please be carefull of the QR code, most of the QR code are wrong. To make the correct QR code go for example to http://zxing.appspot.com/generator/ and create QR code with the following parameters :
Content : URL (and not text)
URL : http://mobimaster.com (and not www.mobimaster.com)

I am getting now some nice web 2.0 logo. You should now work on the QR code. I noticed some problem with QR code. Some are not scannable, there is no chance your logo will win if there is no scannable qr code. Also I noticed that some QR code are only text, so it must be an URL qr code. Finnaly there are different size for the QR code that can handle more or less error. Depending of your design you can choose L, M or Q. But L is certainly easier to customized. see for example : http://zxing.appspot.com/generator/

latest logos are getting better. But be carefull that QR code must be scannable. And the QR code must be for an URL : "mobimaster.com" without the www.
Also many logos are in blue and orange, I have no preference for those colors and I will be happy to see other colors.- 10 years ago

If u dont like a logo do not reject it, just ignore that. Then u will be free to send u so many logo. Because it decrease our XP. Please Do not take it otherwise.

So for our logo it means "mobi" in one color and "master" in another color. The point on the i of mobi can be of the same color as "master". Our logo should contains all of the above caracteristic expect number 5 which is only a suggestion.
#164 is a good example of how qr code and text can be arrange. However qr #164 is a copy of what we can find on google.
I thank you #177 and #192 and some others for the customized qr code which goes in the spirit of what is asked.

1. Simple Shapes - Drawings of the icons are very simple, it is filtered down to it's simplest elements
2. Sans Serif Fonts - Most of the text are sans serif
3. it is the most Bright Colours. They are all bright happy colours
4. 2 tone - Text are divided to 2 colours.
5. 2 fonts - Similar to 2 tone, some logos use 2 types of fonts to communicate the effect of the previous point (2 tone)
6. One idea - If you look at all the logos there is one concept or idea, one thing that draws your attention to. This is general of logo design.
7. Gradients - This is web 2.0 signature.

I thank you for the logos all of you already sent. But I think I need to make clarification. QR code is ugly and the difficulty in the contest is to make this QR code nice and well integrated in the logo. The QR code should be scannable so it must be complete.
In order to win this contest you need to be creative, to think about the project and what you can do. How the QR code can be integrated in the logo, try to design the qr code in a comet, in a iphone application button, in a smart phone, or else.
I suggest you go on google and search for "customized qr code", you will find nice examples under image but also tips how to customize qr code.- 11 years ago
