Contest Brief

Thank you all for your submissions so far. Your designs have helped us to build on our vision and create an improved design brief.
Please find our updated design brief below to assist with new submissions.

(1) WHAT IS PROSPERO:

Using Prospero will make choosing and applying for financial services products, such as superannuation, bank accounts, credit cards etc, as hassle free and easy as possible.

We help compare benefits from a range of popular service providers so that the user can confidently choose cover that suits their needs, budget and lifestyle.

Prospero is not a financial services provider.

(2) THE PROSPERO BRAND:

Prospero gets a kick out of helping people! Everyone knows choosing financial products can be very painful, complex and time consuming!

Prospero is designed to remove the complexity of financial services products, and make selection as quick, easy and convenient as possible.
We want the Prospero brand to communicate simplicity, ease, convenience, inclusion, growth, prosperity and progress.

(3) TARGET AUDIENCE:

As a guide, our 'end user' target audience is men and women between the ages of 18/45.

Our target audience includes those who are currently disengaged by the complexity of financial products but who we can encourage to use our platform in order to help grow their wealth through a simple to use, fun and convenient website.

The 'end user' must also be balanced against having a reasonably professional image because our revenue is derived from financial services providers such as banks, insurers etc.

(4) STYLE/DESIGN PREFERENCES:

We want your design submission to include the following three elements:

a) Typography - the word Prospero;
b) Logo - positioned to the left of text using a landscape format;
c) Avatar - see further details below.

a) Typography
The name Prospero will ideally use a simple, minimalist, serified font which will communicate trust and confidence in addition to the brand values listed above in (2).

Please find examples at (6).

b) Logo
The logo should be the basic form of the avatar (see below at c). A good example of the basic form of the avatar in logo form is Duolingo - www.duolingo.com.

c) Avatar
As an extension of the logo, please design a character (preferably an animal) based on this design brief.

Please refer to the Duolingo example - www.duolingo.com where they use the Duolingo owl (logo and avatar) in an astronaut suit, we will use our avatar in a number of different contexts in our marketing campaigns i.e. dressed up as a wizard etc.

Please also provide the avatar as a Wizard.

Eventually, we want our avatar to be synonymous with the name 'Prospero'.

Required:
Typography + Logo + Avatar + Avatar in wizard context.

Please use either Blue or Green (not both) in your design submission - see examples below:

Green similar to Evernote.
Blue similar to Hipmunk.

(7) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

The winning designer will have the opportunity to work with us in creating further elements of our brand infrastructure as our business grows.

    #74 Hello! This is my logo design for "Prospero". I made 4 different version with different background and colours. The image is a "bucle" because "Prospero" words are done with the magic of the hands and magic stick that are part of the words.

      Hi Yes it is as it conveys the "magic" - However there is no Wizard. As the Wizard character is called Prospero it is essential for our brand. SO if you could have a think that would be great. Thank you very much.
