Contest Brief

We need a logo redesign for an existing european olive oil brand.

Main objective: to get a modern and minimalist logo. Avoid vintage and overdecorated ideas
The logo must include an olive tree branch and the name of the brand Montalbano
Text: Extra virgin olive oil
The typography must be sans serif

See image enclosed (only for inspiration)

Update:

The logos are evaluated by an experienced CD, not by the client.

The product is really premium and rare. Entries showing a real sens of typography, composition, balance, elegance and originality will be preferred

Please do not post several copies of the same design on several support. If the logo is good it will work on any support. If it is not so good, showing it in situation is useless.

Update2: At the end of the contest we will check for entries obviously based only on a stock illustration.the kind of "a quick search on Google or on some stock images sites, then some typo quickly placed around" type of designs won't be placed on the last shortlist.

  Well, I've nothing againt existing fonts as long as they are beautiful. Designing an entirely new font is a very long process.
  Having said that I' reject any projects with thePapirus or Comic sans ;)
