Contest Brief

Please see attached photograph, which shows a parade of 11 shops.

Each shop has an electric roller shutter and we are going to cover the 11 shutters with a printed vinyl.

I want a themed design that will continue through all the shops and at the same time allow each shop to have its logo incorporated within the design.

The walls surrounding the shutters are currently magnolia and this can be changed.

The frames of the shops and the box above the window that holds the shutter can be painted in 1 colour and can be part of the design.

One idea is to have an old fashioned street scene, with line drawings of:
Chemist
Grocer
Bank
Barber
Fishmonger
Coffee Shop
Estate Agent
Butcher
Wedding Shop
T-shirt Printer
Grocer (x 2 shops)

Which represent the shops.

Another idea is to have a black and white illustration with a red spot colour to highlight some features of the design.

It really is a blank canvas and we are looking for a winning idea.

Each shutter is 5 meters long and 3 meters high and there are 12 shops

The final artwork must be an adobe illustrator file.

The designs will be digitally printed in vinyl and applied to te metal shop shutters. We are looking for a theme to make the 12 shops look good.

I didn't understood well your idea. Questions:
Those shops are the shops that you want illustraded or the photography is just an example?
The drawing must be done in high res? I mean, it is a very complex scene.
I have an idea of doing an illustration IN the shutters. Is this what you want?
I'm free to "change" the shops a little bit? (The fishmonger with a big fish above, the barber with a big moustache, etc)

  Sadly with the global economy, one has to look to China, Pakistan, India, Vietnam etc where there is great talent and where $100 is a good income for a weeks work and this is the market you are competing in.
