Modern restyle of a Windows application launch screen

  • Status: Closed
  • Prize: $250
  • Entries Received: 19
  • Winner: KavkeeDesigns

Contest Brief

Launch screen of application has ~7 high level categories which are buttons on the left side. Once selected a list of additional forms is presented (about 10 - 100). Three screenshots are attached.

We desire a change to this to modernize the look and feel while we replace the back end.

1. UI Mocks for the attached screenshots - handling the menu hierarchy
2. A sample of Icon designs to match the ones in the screenshots - preferably in a style that can be adapted to more icons in the future.

Thanks to everyone so far, I've sealed this contest as requested by several people. I'll remember this is the preference for the future. Cheers.

CH: Sealed is a preferred way to run a contest for designers who are protective of their work - it eliminates the possibility of copying by other designers. It also guarantees that you'll get original designs instead of facsimilies of existing entries by competing (less talented) designers. Designers have an option to seal their entries but not everyone who wishes to do this can afford it.

I don't understand the #sealed debate. Can you explain the benefits? I'm happy to do it if its in everyone's best interest.

For the screenshots, PSD, PNG, JPG is fine. We'll be slicing and extracting the data to work with our environment. For the icons, PSD would be preferred with appropriate use of layers if things like shadows are being used. 256x256 icons are also preferred. Thanks.

I don't understand the sealed / not-sealed debate. @whitecat26, I can't tell if you're being sarcastic and are in favor of it being sealed. As these comments cross cultures, please explain without "LOLs".

As the Contest is GAURANTEED Dear Contest Holder, do not SEAL... let designers pay to seal there entries ...with this freelancer will earn more from designers, with Open contest other designers can show you the link of the COPIED logos from other site which is in your favour ...........lol

What File Format you wish to have..?

looking at your requirements, "We desire a change to this to modernize the look and feel while we replace the back end."
you can create this app in Electron.js , then you can have unlimited options of design, as Electron Applications are made up of HTML,CSS etc.
