Contest Brief

Design me a trading indicator (not EA but indicator) for MT4 for DJIA which has the following characteristics:

1. Win/Loss ratio 60%+
2. Number of trades per week on 1 hour and/or 4 hour chart between 3 to 15
3. Profitable each year to date in 2013 and in 2012 and 2011 and 2010
4. Show buy and sell on the software and can make returns long and short.

What do you mean 60%+ win/loss ratio? 0.6 wins to 1 loss is a 60% win/loss ratio. 60% win rate is 60 wins to 40 losses (6:4 is 3:2). What is your total risk as a percentage, for each trade? Do you know anything about stocks or do you just have money sitting around and are excited in trading algos?

What sort of fees are you working against in the UK? What sort of profit per trade are you looking at, and what's the typical trade size in dollars/pounds?

  Hi 60% win/loss - 60% winning to 40% losing trades. This is for FX - you can assume GBP:USD and commission free. Spreads - take as those from FXCM. Assume $10,000 unleveraged capital and leverage of 50:1. Risk management 2% risk max per trade ie entry to max stop-loss.
