Contest Brief

We are a Fitness Center / Gym in Morris, Illinois and will be deploying a new web page soon.. . We just became affiliated with CROSSFIT and are looking to brand the logo into our new business. To start, we want to get a logo picked out, and are looking for a new, fresh design.

COLOR + DESIGN: Color should be the Maroon and Yellow similar to that of the Washington Redskins. Our local sports team, the Redskins, uses the same logo, and we want to support the colors. Although I don't particularly want to incorporate the "redskin" into our logo directly... any ideas of the "Redskin" as an opacity offset or a bit more subliminal would be welcome. Maybe just using the feathers somehow in the logo.

Our website will be CrossFitofMorris.com.. Even though we are just named "Cross Fit Morris" . Adding a small, un-noticeable "of" in the logo would be good.

I've looked around at some other design contests... and there were some designs that have lost that I really liked... I have added the files below so that you could see some of the things we like.

The file named logoeyes.jpg... I really like the logo here... Kind of like eyes staring at you but also a man depending on how you look at it.
The file named crossgear.png... For some reason I like the gear going around the logo itself. Maybe for a "large version" (shirts, etc) as opposed to the smaller version only showing a logo and text.
The file named logodumbell.jpg - I like how they incorporated the dumbell in the pic.
The file named crossfitlogo.png... I just really like. Very clean Vector. C and F are creative. Very nicely done. Favorite for style.

Anyways don't feel like you have to stick with anything I showed you here. IF you have a fresh idea that works with the color pattern I'm all for it. . I just thought I'd give you all an idea of ones I've looked at and liked (after looking at hundreds) to point you in the right direction.

just a short feedback on the highest rated proposals - With all due respect, IMExpertSolution's logo are nice, but in my opinion they lack some important aspects you mentioned & required in your brief (RedSkins team colors - maroon & yellow, maybe also including the feather, and the "of" particle in OF Morris). For me it looks like your ordinary neighborhood gym logo, though it will sure do the job. Regards!
