I have a newspaper print of a photo of my mother and cannot find the actual photograph. I need to have this newsprint image converted to a photograph that can be reprinted in the newspaper for her obituary. The original newsprint is from 1960 and the newspaper no longer has the original image.

End product should be in black and white. Here are the requirements of the newspaper for photos. I'm assuming that higher resolution would be better. "JPEG or TIFF format, with a minimum resolution of 175 dpi, in a file size smaller than 3mb."

UPDATE: I was able to add a scan at 1200 dpi. Please use file named obitphoto2.psd. Thank you!

UPDATE: Freelancer's system is not allowing me to upload the larger file. I have a support ticket open with them and will report back shortly.

  If you are uploading a PSD of the 1200 dpi scan, it might be too large for the system to accept. Perhaps you can try a JPG?

  I think it's not much help. I took the file that in the application and before restoration, I changed to a larger size. At the end I get a normal size image.

  if your file is very large >10 MB it will not load here and no error will show either. Please upload to dropbox or we transfer etc. and post link to download
