Contest Brief

I need the following data with sources:

1) Number of payment cards in usage/circulation world wide. I would need to see the growth in payment cards from -5 to + 5 years from today. I would also like to know a rough geographical split of these cards, and also where the number of cards are expected to grow the most.

2) The same as above for EMV cards, hopefully in the same time period

3) I indent to make a graph similar to this one: http://goo.gl/yFkU04 but for the payment industry. I would like to look at it historically, as far back as possible, and reaching all the way to 2020. I would like the following to be included: a) payment cards (is possible split between magnet strip and EMV b) checks c) mobile payment (for the future). The idea of the graph is to show that payment cards will play a role also in the future in spite of mobile payment alternatives. I assume that the y-axis will either show number of transactions or value of transactions.

4) A graph showing value per transaction of payment cards relative to number of transactions. I.e, the hypothesis is that currently +90% of transactions made by payment cards are for values less than USD 1000.
