Contest Brief

Hello all great designers

I´m about to start a personal blog about fire safety. Here I will write articles, make videos and much more, for my target group professional engineers, architects and firemen. The subject is fire safety (mostly passive fire safety)

Example of articles/videos: Fire regulations in hotels, fire compartments in a hospital, escape routes.

Most content will be educational content and for me it is a platform, where I can learn, teach and crow together with the readers. Therefore the design must be relaxed, educational atmosphere, casual and informal.
Again, because it is very important for me...the blog will be a "playground" within fire safety, where I will sketch and write, blog, take pictures and make videos of fire safety.

The site will be placed at www.kennethboysen.dk (also my name :))

What design do I like?:
Simple
Moderne
Clean
"Less is more"
Easy for my coder to make responsive
Wordpress "ready"
Optimized for newsletter sign up (very important)

When looking for inspiration to a new design, I like these:

I have a "character" that I would like to use for this project, please look at the att. file called kenneth-boysen.png, (I have the file as .psd (not vector))
one example was to use the character like the picture "desk". (just an example)

Structure of the site:

I want a 2 column website (I will use the design in wordpress CMS), left for content, and right side for widget (categories and more). I also want to show pages, feedback and contact form.

I need these files delivered in PSD files:
Frontpage
Article page
Page
pop up for newsletter sign up
Feedback
Contact page

The most important for me on this blog, is getting a lot of sign ups for my newsletter. Therefor all pages must contain newsletter sign up (mail address) and a pop up for newsletter.

The design must be used in wordpress and if you can make it into a responsive theme also, please also give me a price on this.

    Please clarify something for us. You want us to design something else as banner using the same character? You want a different sketch or a photo?

      Thanks for your message, I will try to answer as good as possible.

      I want wo work with a designer, that show his/hers own thoughts in the design/project.
      Is one just copy/paste the banner, and then make it fit with the rest.... well thats not what i'm looking fore. That said, the winner could easy be with a banner that is the same or close to my example, but I want to see more than just ...made it fit.

      Until now I have rejected 4 bids, all was using the exact same banner... and in these cases the banner was 80-90% of the design.

      So The winner will be the one that has put must thourghts and work into a design.
