**UPDATE – Packaging Requirements**
Some great designs have already come through—thank you to everyone who has submitted an entry. I’d like to clarify a few points to help you develop your concepts and give everyone a clearer idea of what I’m looking for:
* **Universal presentation box:** One branded inner box suitable for all four bottle models. I’m open to a **black box with a kraft sleeve, a kraft box with a black sleeve, or other colour combinations and creative designs** that suit INTAVIDA®. These are suggestions, not a fixed design requirement.
* **Four wraparound sleeve designs:** One each for **Original 500, Original 750, Peak Go and Peak**. Each sleeve must clearly display that bottle’s **model name and capacity**. The sleeve should cover approximately **one-third of the box’s height**, leaving most of the presentation box visible.
* **Logo placement:** Please keep the **INTAVIDA® and Ocean Bottle logos separate**, with INTAVIDA® as the dominant branding. My preferred layout is the **INTAVIDA® logo at the top of the presentation box**, with a **smaller Ocean Bottle logo in a bottom corner**, accompanied by “in collaboration with” instead of an “x”.
* **Bottle inserts:** Ideally, explore whether **one universal, adjustable paperboard insert can securely accommodate all four models**, including protection for their different lids. Adjustable folds or tabs are welcome. The insert does not need to be a full bottle-shaped cut-out, but it must present and secure the bottle neatly. If separate inserts are necessary, please explain why.
* **Outer shipping box:** A simple corrugated box with a minimalist design featuring the **INTAVIDA® logo and separate tick logo only**. No Ocean Bottle branding or references. **No dedicated delivery-label space is needed**, as the box will go inside a protective shipping bag carrying the label.
* **Overall style:** Clean, modern, premium and minimal. Please avoid excessive slogans, icons or small text. Materials should be paper-based, recyclable and plastic-free wherever possible, with economical manufacturing in mind.
* **Accuracy and construction:** Please use the supplied branding and verified bottle profiles and dimensions. All renders should represent the same workable construction.
* **Final production files:** The winning design must include the manufacture-ready dielines and editable files required in the original brief. At this stage, please show the concept and explain the proposed construction.
I welcome original ideas that meet these requirements and can be developed into practical, manufacture-ready packaging.
INTAVIDA® – Premium Sustainable Drinks Bottle Packaging Design
We are looking for a talented packaging designer to create a modern, premium and sustainable packaging system for INTAVIDA®, a British performance and lifestyle brand.
This is a creative contest and we want designers to bring their own ideas and interpretation. We have some initial concepts which will be provided for reference, but we do not want these simply reproduced.
ABOUT INTAVIDA®
INTAVIDA® is a British performance brand built around the philosophy:
ASPIRE. FOCUS. ACHIEVE.
The brand focuses on premium hydration, training gear, activewear and performance accessories.
Our visual direction is clean, modern, minimal and premium. Sustainability is important, but the packaging should still feel contemporary and aspirational rather than overly rustic or traditionally “eco”.
Our first bottle range is being produced in collaboration with Ocean Bottle.
THE BOTTLES
The packaging needs to accommodate four bottle configurations:
Original 500
500ml / 17oz
68mm × 217mm
259g
Original 750
750ml / 26oz
87mm × 218mm
397g
Peak Go
710ml
76.2mm × 274.7mm
456g
Peak
710ml
76.2mm × 274.7mm
456g
The Peak and Peak Go have different lid/top configurations, so they require separate internal inserts despite having the same listed overall dimensions.
Product images and further reference material will be supplied.
PACKAGING REQUIRED
1. Premium Inner Presentation Box
A branded presentation box forming the main part of the customer unboxing experience.
Ideally, we would like to use one common presentation box where practical, with interchangeable inserts accommodating the different bottles. However, we are open to better structural solutions proposed by the designer.
2. Four Interchangeable Cardboard Inserts
We require four recyclable internal insert designs:
• Original 500
• Original 750
• Peak Go
• Peak
The purpose of the inserts is to hold each bottle securely while creating a clean, premium presentation when the box is opened.
The inserts do not necessarily need to be a full bottle-shaped cut-out. We are open to simpler and more efficient structural solutions — for example, folded cardboard supports, retaining sections, collars or other creative methods of securing the bottle in position.
The priority is that the bottle is held securely during e-commerce delivery while still looking considered and presentable as part of the unboxing experience.
Ideally, the inserts should be recyclable, plastic-free, economical to manufacture, efficient in their use of material and straightforward to assemble.
We welcome creative structural ideas, particularly solutions that allow the same presentation box to be used across multiple bottle sizes by simply changing the insert.
3. Corrugated E-commerce Shipping Box
A simple protective outer shipping box. Our initial thinking is natural corrugated cardboard with minimal black INTAVIDA® branding, although alternative ideas are welcome.
4. Cardboard Wraparound Sleeve
A branded cardboard wraparound sleeve that complements the presentation box and overall INTAVIDA® identity.
CREATIVE DIRECTION
The overall packaging should feel:
• Premium
• Modern
• Minimal
• Performance-focused
• Gender-neutral
• Sustainable
• Aspirational
We like natural board with strong black typography/branding and have also considered predominantly black packaging. However, these are only starting points and we actively encourage designers to explore stronger creative directions.
Packaging should allow appropriate space for INTAVIDA® and Ocean Bottle collaboration branding, product information, sustainability information, compliance text, website and selected brand messaging.
We favour strong typography, good use of negative space and uncluttered layouts.
CONTEST ENTRY
For the initial contest entry, we are not expecting every component or insert to be fully engineered.
We want to see enough to understand your overall concept and creative direction. This could include:
• Presentation box design
• Front, back and side concepts
• 3D mock-ups
• Sleeve concept
• Shipping box concept
• Internal insert concept
• An explanation of how the system would accommodate the four bottles
Please do not simply place our logo onto a generic packaging mock-up. We are looking for a considered concept created specifically for INTAVIDA®.
WINNER DELIVERABLES
The winning designer will be expected to develop the chosen concept into a complete manufacturer-ready packaging system, including:
• Final presentation box
• Four individual cardboard insert designs
• Corrugated shipping box
• Cardboard wraparound sleeve
• Manufacturer-ready dielines
• Print-ready artwork
• Editable/source files
• Correct bleed, folds and print specifications
• Colour and font specifications
• Recommended materials and finishes
• High-quality final mock-ups
Final files should be suitable for supplying directly to a packaging manufacturer.
The system should also be designed with future INTAVIDA® bottle sizes and products in mind.
Professional packaging and structural design experience is strongly preferred.
We will judge entries on originality, brand interpretation, structural thinking and the overall packaging/unboxing experience — not simply the quality of the 3D render.
We look forward to seeing your interpretation of INTAVIDA®.
IMPORTANT – NO AI-GENERATED DESIGN SUBMISSIONS
We are specifically looking for a professional packaging designer to develop an original, considered packaging system.
AI-generated concepts, generic AI mock-ups or entries created primarily using generative AI are not what we are looking for and will be rejected.
We can create AI concepts ourselves. The purpose of this contest is to find a designer with genuine packaging, structural design and production experience who can develop a real-world, manufacturer-ready solution.
We want to see evidence of your own design process and thinking, particularly around:
* Structural packaging
* Dielines
* Cardboard insert design
* Print production
* Material selection
* Practical manufacture and assembly
The winning designer must be able to provide editable source files, original working files and manufacturer-ready dielines for all packaging components.
Please do not submit AI-generated bottle renders, generic packaging scenes or concepts that cannot realistically be manufactured.
