Contest Brief

I am looking for someone to design a product that could attach to a 3/4-16 male thread and both capture and filter solvents. What we have is a pipe with a 3/8" ID with male threads at the end - 3/4-16, and it will slowly drain a solvent through the pipe. Every once in a while, someone will put a cotton patch in the other end and push it through as well. We would like all of this to catch in a pouch, with some form of filtration paper or mesh inside. We would like it to filter the solvents. It would ideally have a drain cap at the bottom of the pouch.

As far as materials and overall design is concerned - it is up to you. It would be recommended that you check out Hoppes No. 9, as this is the solvent running through the pipe. It would be important that the material this pouch is designed to be is not corroded by the solvent.

To give you an idea of what I am talking about, in the past - we had attached an oil filter to the end of this pipe. It would catch the solvents, and the patches as well. When we twisted the filter off and poured the solvents out, they were filtered clean for the most part. We are now looking for a soft*, washable & reusable pouch to do the same thing.

*The threaded portions will not be soft, but the overall pouch should be malleable and flexible.

We would like it designed with our logo (see attached) and, if you are doing a rendering, we would like a color scheme* reflecting our websites scheme ([login to view URL])

*If the material chosen does not support multiple colors or is clear only, this is acceptable.
