A NOTE ON ROUND 1: Welcome to Round 2 of the RailCall Developer Challenge! A huge congratulations to the developers who won our $2,250 Round 1 Contest: Shweta (1st Place & Best Workflow) and Dave (2nd Place). Please note: Because Freelancer.com does not allow splitting a single contest prize pool among multiple cash winners, we had to close the main Round 1 contest with a placeholder and pay our actual winners through separate, guaranteed projects (which you can verify on their profiles). We are a legitimate, US-based company, and we are excited to launch Round 2! ABOUT THE PLATFORM RailCall is a governance-first automation layer for AI-driven work - every action a workflow takes goes through a preview -> approve -> execute -> signed receipt loop (the "airlock"), so operators and enterprises can trust what the automation is doing. We are expanding the platform ecosystem. Build a MODULE (a new integration like Slack, HubSpot, Airtable) or a WORKFLOW (an end-to-end automation), publish it to the marketplace, and win! PRIZES - 1st Place Grand Prize: $500 USD Cash (Winner Takes All) - Top 5 Bonus: The Top 5 submissions overall (including the 1st place winner) will receive an exclusive 1-Year "Featured Contributor" status on the RailCall platform, putting your developer profile directly in front of our enterprise users! WHAT TO BUILD A signed handler bundle (Module) that adds a new integration, OR an end-to-end automation (Workflow) solving a concrete recurring task. You can build integrations for any real product businesses use: Notion, Asana, Airtable, Zendesk, Intercom, Linear, Jira, Zoom, DocuSign, Stripe, QuickBooks, etc. JUDGING CRITERIA - Real Usefulness: Solves a problem a small team would pay for. - Coverage: Includes the top 6-10 actions someone would want, not just one simple API call. - Trust Surface: Safe auth pattern, secrets never touch the DB. - Docs: A README that lets a stranger install and use it in under 10 minutes. - Bonus Points: Include a short video demonstrating your module working live! WHAT WE PROVIDE - Full docs: https://railcall.ai/docs - 30-minute zero-to-published tutorial: https://railcall.ai/docs/marketplace-developer/your-first-module - API reference: https://railcall.ai/docs/api-reference - Free Team seats for the contest - DM in Discord for access to paid features while you build - Support: our Discord - https://discord.gg/22bu9Xpt4z - real humans answer within a day HOW TO ENTER 1. Install the station: curl -fsSL https://railcall.ai/install.sh | bash 2. Create a marketplace account: https://railcall.ai/marketplace/signup 3. Build your module or workflow - the tutorial takes ~30 min end-to-end 4. Publish it (module: "railcall market publish ." / workflow: publish through the dashboard) 5. Tag your listing with contest:round2 in the description 6. Post the listing URL as your entry to this contest on Freelancer TIMELINE - Opens: Now - Submissions close: 30 days from posting - Winners announced: Within 3 days of closing - Prize payouts: Within 5 business days of announcement, via Freelancer milestone RULES - Original work only - no forked or repackaged OSS without meaningful additions - Working on real APIs - no mocks or stubs - Publish-ready quality - passes our pre-publish review queue - Free entry - no fees to enter, ever - You keep the IP - you own your module/workflow and any marketplace revenue it earns - Paid modules eligible - marketplace revenue-share is 5% one-time / 25% subscription - No AI slop - LLM-assisted is fine; a README that reads like it was generated with zero context isn't. QUESTIONS Drop them in our Discord: https://discord.gg/22bu9Xpt4z. Response within one business day. Good luck. We are excited to see what you build! - The RailCall team

I've built the basic scaffolding for a HubSpot module and successfully published a test version via railcall market publish. For the OAuth flow, the docs mention secrets never touch the DB – could you clarify the exact environment variable pattern you recommend for storing client credentials during development vs. production?

Hello Contest Holder, I understand Round 2 requires building and publishing an original RailCall Module or Workflow that solves a real recurring business problem, with strong API coverage, secure authentication, clear documentation, and a working marketplace submission. I can handle the development, testing, documentation, publishing, and demonstration while following RailCall’s governance and quality requirements. I have a few ideas for useful integrations and workflows that I’d like to show and discuss, along with a few questions about the preferred direction. Direct discussion will help me choose and build the strongest concept for the competition. I’m waiting for your message.

Hi RailCall team, I’m preparing a Round 2 contest module and I’ve hit what appears to be a CLI installer checksum mismatch. The current railcall_cli.py served from: https://railcall.ai/cli/railcall_cli.py has SHA256: 0ea184dd37ec359008429eaaf7053fffca665bcaf3571d7799c806df97ba4278 I also verified the same CLI hash from GitHub main, the tagged release path, and the jsDelivr source. However, the published Windows install.ps1 currently expects: 27e98a518a595a9a78602c9c719ecdc20dd2bb8d75a270a5bd781535f4d27230 As a result, the official installer rejects the currently distributed RailCall CLI. I have not bypassed or modified the checksum verification. Could you please confirm whether the installer pin needs to be refreshed? My Round 2 module is otherwise ready and passes the marketplace lint with zero errors and zero warnings. I only need the Station installed so I can complete the official module signing and verification flow.

Hi RailCall team, I've published my Round 2 entry — a Stripe module (mrxstudio30/stripe), live on the marketplace and submitted here as entry #27. It covers the billing a small team actually repeats: eight commands across customers, invoices, payment links, refunds, and balance — not a one-call wrapper. The secret key stays in the vault (resolves only at 127.0.0.1, never in a receipt or the DB), it's plain Python stdlib with no dependencies, and every money-moving action is write_requires_approval, so the airlock previews and waits for approval. I ran all eight end-to-end against the live Stripe API in test mode before publishing. If there's a particular integration or capability you'd like to see expanded in Round 2, I'm glad to build on this. Thanks for running the challenge.

Hi RailCall Team, I’ve reviewed the Round 2 requirements and I’m interested in building a production ready RailCall integration around a real business use case, with meaningful action coverage rather than a basic API wrapper. My focus will be on a secure real API implementation, correct Airlock behavior for consequential actions, safe credential handling, strong error handling, signed publishing, and clear documentation that a new user can follow quickly. I can also provide a polished live demonstration showing the complete preview, approval, execution, and signed receipt flow. I’m ready to start with the current RailCall documentation and test the final module through a fresh marketplace installation before submission. Is there any integration category you would especially like to see expanded in Round 2? Best regards
