  Whoa wait a minute here…..The winner simply copied and pasted the design??? That was all that was required? Are you telling me that they did not want someone to actually reproduce the artwork by drawing it and painting it? This surfer girl mage was created by someone else….to simply copy and paste the art work is copyright infringement and is not allowed nor is it right. If someone can please advise me on how this design was won then I will see what can be done in regards to copyright ethics. If the contest winner was simply looking for someone to copy this image by copy and pasting it and simply opening it in photoshop and making the resolution higher then I am pissed as I took several hours of my time to recreate this image by actually drawing it from scratch in illustrator and inking it in photoshop. Nufo,,,,do you have ahi info about how this design was won?

     I don't know what you people were thinking about copy and pasting, is it possible then how?, I actually reproduce it in illustrator by wasting several hours of time, guys if anybody have any info it will be better to share here. I don't any idea on copying and pasting, bcoz I always do my work by myself.

  I think this is a insult for the freelancers who really wasted their time making a original illustration.

     "We're looking for a talented Illustrator. or digital painter to RECREATE ILLUSTRATION suitable for high quality packing prints." Recreate ilustration and copying and pasting to higher resolution file is not the same thing.

  Thanks to everyone who participated, a winner has been selected. I will inquire how to make the winning image public so all can see. I realize that each contribution represented a lot of personal time, however the winning entry was the only spot-on reproduction down to the last detail.

  I don't know, I checked the contest late last night and it said "cancelled" in the spot above where it says open. Not sure why or how….Will we be able to see the winning design at all? I am curious.

  Re: SRDesignINK, what led you to believe this contest was cancelled? You effort was strong but not quite hitting the mark (I sent you a private message); Re: Visiofx - AI or PS, either is fine as long we're able to get a high quality print. We have a conditional winner - conditioned upon them being able to deliver a hi res file. Will keep you advised. Thanks to everyone.

  I understand the trade-offs, which I've addressed to Freelancer, both to protect contributors as well as sponsor of contest. Fortunately we have someone whose put forth a damn fine effort and just needs a few additional textured tweaks to win the contest.

  If you check the history,projects that involved a lot of work and attention to detail,with medium-big budgets but not Guaranteed,did not receive genuine submissions.Put yourself in our shoes,you need to spend a day working,with about 5% chances to win and without guarantee,you will stay away I tell you for sure.

  We want the image EXACTLY as shown IN ITS ENTIRETY (that means all DETAILS) to be reproduced. The first submissions have not come anywhere close to reproducing the image. We are looking into guaranteeing the contest but determining our options should none of the submission meet our expectations.
