Redesign 3D architectural ornament

Contest Brief

Hi - we currently have this cross in our designs but have opted to move away from both the cross and the skull. The idea of the thick dimensional design, but more curved/rounded would be better. Still want a plus sign shape ( + ) from the middle outward. The overall size will range by the project - some typical sizes and/or diameters will be 18", 24", 30", 36" and 48".

I've included our original cross with skull and bones in the middle for your reference (CURRENT DESIGN.png). And I've included 5 'INSPIRATION' images of designs we prefer to emulate. Again, rounded, curved, thick and dimensional design is what we are looking for.

***Note that the inspiration pics are only for reference and not for copying. They are for showing the curves, shapes and style of what we are looking to do. We are looking for something original.

Although we only want a redesign, if you're able to do this in 3D format, we have preferred file formats for 3D printing and CNC machining. Any of the following would be best - STEP, IGES, SLDPRT, 3DM, IPT, SAT and X_T

****Note that we do NOT want any skulls and are moving away from the 'cross' look, as it's a little too religious looking. Curves, rounded, flowing designs are more what we are after.

It can be a simple plus (+) but no extending arms to make it look like a cross. And again, prefer more rounded and curved stylizations.

I've added some more inspiration pics (for reference). Hopefully this helps...

STL can work for 3D printing, so these formats are ok.
