Hi.

I need help to make my website more attractive and have it redesigned. I have built the website but my design skills are pretty bad. I am attaching a picture of current "home" page. The first page of my website. I need this page redesigned and it does NOT have to look anything like it does currently.

You have quite free hands in this project and it should be easy to do for someone creative and experienced.

I'm kinda happy with the menu, but it's free to redesign. Rest needs to look more attractive and proffessional. It should not be too flashy as it's a serious site for studies. But look modern, clean and attractive.

You can draw inspiration from these sites to see what kind of "style" would be fitting. But it should not look very similar to them:
http://quizlet.com/ (functionality is kind of similar to my site)
http://japanese-lesson.com/ (ugly but has some cool design elements)

I don't want: Any big colorful pictures, pictures of people etc.

I want: Some kind of Japanese style in the site, like I currently do, not a lot necessary but some. Maybe some Kanji characters, design inspired of Japanese temple/shrine or similar.

The rest of the site is 850px wide if that's helpful to anyone.

I am still not satisfied with any of the designs so if new designers like to join, please go ahead! None of the sites right now have the right feel, contributions look too "homey" and warm. Like I said in my original post I want something with the same feel as quizlet.com or even facebook. Modern and clean style. The design should say "this is a fast, Easy-to-use service, with lots of material and users".

  Thank you for your entry. But I'm looking for design with some more inspiration of what the site is actually about, studying fast and Japanese. You are still using my old picture of the Kanji. And the rest is just white background. I need something with more effort put into it, I could have easily made this design myself. Sorry, please try again if you'd like.

  I'm looking for more of a redesign, something new! And I don't like those circles, it's a serious site for studies, no need to "sell" the site like that. I like my old design better. Thank you but sorry, you are welcome to try again.
