Contest Brief

We are Red Panda World Apparel a new clothing line that will devote a % of proceeds to non-profits that spread awareness and help protect endangered wildlife. Our brand's mission is to channel the power of animal art from a collection of international artists to build our audience. Our target demographic is everyone. Our brand is modern, fashionable, high quality, with a great a cause behind it.

We have a strong vision of our brand and refined some of our brand ideas through previous contests into now a package of 4 brand logos. The brand is modern, clean, elegant, artistic, and still fun. I would like anyone that enters to try and improve or come up with a new design you think is better than any one of the logos I show case. Remember they all tie together as one brand and are related so keep that in mind!

The winner receives $30 like normal. 2 Runner Ups will receive $15 a project request where I hire you and you just transfer your Runner Up entry work to me, done deal immediately. It is possible 1 contestant can win 1st place and both runner ups if all their entries are the best!

Any Sealed entry will be disqualified from the contest! Everyone gets to see who is in the lead.

During the contest the current 1st place entry will be rated 5 stars. The two runner ups will be each rated 4 stars so you know who they are. Everyone else will receive 1-3 stars. If someone beats one of the current leaders I will change the ratings accordingly.

There are 4 different logos you may enter for:

1) Our brand acronym inside a circle with a water drop and the acronym inside. This logo is planned to be printed on the center of the chest on t-shirts and tanks in a range of different colors. Example: sky blue logo on a dark grey t-shirt, where the dark grey acts as the negative space.

2) Our brand acronym inside our water drop symbol. This logo also will be printed in many different color schemes, animal patterns, patterns etc.. on the center of the chest in many different color t-shirts and tanks acting as the negative space.

3) Our brand logo spelled out with our tear drop symbol utilized. After many mock ups in a different contest it was concluded the design looks best to us with all 4 words spelled out in a single line with a modern, tall, clean, all uppercase font as seen. Most likely we will want the words RED and WORLD to be the color neon sky blue, the water drop outline to be neon lime green, and the words PANDA and APPAREL to remain a very thin black font as they are. Also the bolding of R P W A would all be gone. The font thickness, size, and height of all letters would be the same, only the colors I just mentioned would be different. This is the baseline of what we like. Try to improve it or come up with something outside the box. DO NOT make the word red the color red!

4) Our design name signature. The signature is to be in an artistic fashion as shown, you can see the sort of cursive paintbrush effect used with art surrounding the leading C and M of the names as well as in the names. The signature represents a pair of male designers that are masculine, yet are marketing towards a general audience, especially women who often notice such things more often when buying apparel. This signature will be on the heat-press label on the inside of the back collar of shirts along with other manufacturing information, sizing, etc.

Yes this has been my favorite contest to run so far. I am really loving the design. In fact I think they are good enough between a handful of you guys that you are scaring off new contestants because my other contests got a bigger range of people entering, which means you guys have some good skills!

Need a new logo: 1)RED PANDA spelled out large in the font of #52 in a rainbow arc over the droplet logo 2) Inside the droplet have a large W and A also same font as #52 , but on a 45 degree angle. This entry if decent will definitely get a runner up position at least because we need it. Will post links to helpful images next.

Can anyone make a new logo that simple places a large droplet inside the hollow circle and have no text at all? Just the symbols droplet inside circle... same border affect around the circle and droplet.

Can someone make #6 so that: 1) All letters are a bit thicker and more readable (slightly bolded) 2) Make the blue a little bit darker from a neon sky blue to a neon ocean blue 3) Make PANDA and APPAREL light-medium grey instead of black, so that the words are still easily readable on a white background but faded out a bit compared to the blue colored words RED and WORLD. 4) Also thicken the outline of the neon green life drop same thickness as the letters, and give the tear drop an inner border like a reverse color version of the life drop background in #33.

#26 is a cool idea - for new entries though just know a Red Panda animal is not a Panda Bear painted red.... it is a small bear-cat-fox like creature.

We already have a strong vision on how to use these existing logo templates on t-shirt with different colors and art etc... I really am looking for the designers in this contest to challenge our TEMPLATES and try and improve them. Showing your IMPROVED or BRAND NEW logo idea based one of the 4 I have in the brief first, then showing it on a t-shirt - billboard - whatever to display it will be a winning combo.

For logo template 3 the spelled out version #6 has nailed the coloring scheme and is keeping the kind of thin clean modern font we like so far... this is the one to beat as far as the colored version.... again anyone can try to come up with an entirely new idea that inspires us or try to improve this one...

Logo template item 1 and 2 in my brief indeed will end up on t-shirts which is fine to show, the focus though is on changing and making the logo template themselves even better... showing them on a cool t-shirt can definitely help your rating though!

I like #2 's utilization in a shirt very cool design! The water drop will usually be negative space with one color logo uses the shirt as the background negative space. The point of the contest however is to see if you can improve or come up with a better idea for each of the 4 standard logo templates I have.
