Contest Brief

I am putting together a heartfelt memory book and have already selected every photo and line of text. What I need now is a designer who can transform those raw materials into a classic and elegant layout, handling both the page design and the typesetting with care.

The flow will be continuous rather than broken into chapters, so the visual rhythm must carry the reader smoothly from start to finish. Because I have no fixed font in mind, you’re free to recommend tasteful pairings that reinforce a refined, timeless look. Subtle flourishes, balanced white space, and a cohesive colour palette are important to me; nothing should distract from the memories themselves.

I will expect to see one double-page spread designed to begin with. You’ll receive a previous design. From there, I’m hoping for:

• A print-ready PDF with bleed and crop marks, plus the editable source file (InDesign, Affinity Publisher, or preferably Swift Publisher)
• Thoughtful image placement, consistent margins, and typography that complements rather than overwhelms
• Two rounds of revisions so we can fine-tune details together

Sensitivity, confidentiality, and punctual communication are essential—I want this keepsake to feel as comforting to create as it will be to read. If you’ve crafted photo books, memorial programs, or any publication where emotion matters as much as design, I’d love to see your work and discuss timelines.
