Contest Brief
Intro:
We're Pizzacodes. We show people where to save money on food delivery. Imagine a Groupon for food delivery.
Briefing:
We need a new logo, containing a word brand and an icon. It can be an icon + word mark combination or a character/mascot + word mark. You can see examples of the two in the attached zip file.
Brand name:
Pizzacodes (no restrictions on wether it should be capital letters or not, give us some examples and we will decide
Area of business:
Food Delivery
Colors:
- either red & yellow
- or red & orange
You can use hues, but make sure that the main colors stay distinct. You can use black & white, but only to accentuate/separate/as borders, and please note that this clearly isn't a must.
Feel:
- As male as female
- A little bit more young than old
- Completely economic, not luxurious
- A good bit more modern than old-school
- A good bit more playful than serious (but not so much that it gets too neat/childish)
- A good bit more loud (color) than the opposite
- Much more simple than complex
- Completely obvious, not subtle
More:
There is a big example for how we would like it to be, and that is the attached logo (the red one, of course). Notice: we like the balance between soft and hard and the modifications in the typeface, and the easily recognizable, yet uncomplicated icon - but we won't accept a copy of this logo. The logo should be on par - design paradigm wise - with most of what's out there in cool web companies, but remember: we're food.
Surprise us, in a good way!
//EDIT: I posted this as a comment underneath the contest. Please read it so you don't waste your time drawing the wrong type of logo:
"Guys, we need a very simple logo, but it should also not look like it's been created in Word-Art. The pizza definitely is not a must, we are for all foods: surprise me with your creativity. The most important thing however is, that you make the logo VeRY sime, yet distinguishing (meaning not just a font like tat but with a modification or two, and no basic geometric shapes). Also, apart from a bit of shading here and there, we don't like 3-D logos. It should be usable in b/w, large and small, and e colors should be easily distinguishable (don't use more than one or two hues)."
