Contest Brief

Hello!

I am looking for someone to do a design for me. This theoretically could be accomplished in one stroke. If you google "Lita Ford - Dancing on the Edge" this is the style for the streak. (Edit: link below) I particularly like the vertical streak in the F with its width, length and character. (Edit: place your entry at a horizontal 20 degree slant with the fat end on the left narrowing out on the right end as a natural streak would be executed from your hand)

I would design this myself if I had photoshop but alas I don't. I only say that because of how simple this really is. Let me explain further about the streak. I am going to send the high quality design you create to a company that does custom wall decals, blow it up huge to about 2ft wide (at its fattest width) by about 12ft long. Like the Fathead wall decals, that sort of thing, but custom just for my home!

What I need is for you to do about 25 strokes and I will choose one. It's not really as simple as just doing one stroke because there is so much character in any given stroke and I have been looking at different strokes on google images and some just don't have that appeal and attitude while others are too much like a horror bloody slash, so am looking for the middle ground.

I also would like one version with the shadow effect (like in the Lita Ford - Dancing on the Edge font) and one version without. We can do the shadow effect after I choose a stroke.

I need to stress that the design you create will be blown up to the dimensions mentioned above and that has to happen with as little degradation as possible from your design.

***I could have simplified this whole post by saying take a fat paint brush and make a swift motion...

Don't overcomplicate it please. White background... You may do the stroke in hot pink. If I like the stroke I will ask for a version with a shadow... Simple. Or you can supply me with both right away. I have a program I can use to change the color if needed...

#11 and #12 are nice but I am looking for the "rough" look of the Rita Ford and "botnit" fonts supplied in the links. I don't know how they created that effect but I am sure there is a technique for it.

#7 and #8 really nice... But it looks like the stroke was made from top to bottom. I would like the streak made from bottom to top. Other than that....

#3 has a nice tail stroke (right side). Nice and fat.. If you tried that 10 more times I might choose one... However if you look in the links I have provided, the texture is more along the lines of entry #1... It's rougher...

I cannot tell you what about the character is not to my liking, that is why it is abstract, and that is why I asked that you supply many multiple streaks. I asked that it be in hot pink. I asked that it be high quality. Nobody is going to put a vertical streak on their wall, use your head...
