Project Title: Architectural Redesign & Interior Concept for a Spacious Modern Apartment
1. Project Overview
I am looking for a talented interior designer or architect to redesign the layout of my apartment. The primary goal is to create a sense of openness ("make it feel bigger") while maintaining high functionality. We need to integrate a hidden utility area and solve specific acoustic challenges.
2. Space Breakdown & Dimensions
The design should accommodate the following areas:
Open-Plan Living & Dining ($23.4\text{ m}^2$): A combination of the main living area ($18.9\text{ m}^2$) and an additional space ($4.5\text{ m}^2$). This area should feel expansive and connect to the balcony.
Kitchen ($12.7\text{ m}^2$): Modern, efficient, and visually integrated with the living space.
Pantry ($1.15\text{ m}^2$): A small storage room directly linked to the kitchen.
Balcony ($3.4\text{ m}^2$): An outdoor extension of the living zone.
Master Bedroom ($17\text{ m}^2$): A private, serene space.
Kids' Room ($18.9\text{ m}^2$): A large, flexible room that needs smart zoning.
Multifunctional Hallway ($5.62\text{ m}^2$): This area is crucial. It must serve as a transition zone between rooms but also function as a hidden utility area (for a laundry tower/storage).
Entrance / Foyer: Needs to be slightly separated from the main living area to define the entry point, manage shoe/coat storage, and keep the "private" parts of the home hidden from the front door.
Bathroom ($4.7\text{ m}^2$): Including a shower area.
Separate WC ($1.17\text{ m}^2$): Independent of the main bathroom.
3. Key Design Requirements
A. Acoustic Insulation (Critical)
The Northern Wall of the apartment must be designed with professional-grade acoustic insulation. I am looking for solutions that provide maximum soundproofing with minimal thickness to save floor space.
B. The Utility Concept
I need a clever way to hide the washing machine, dryer, and cleaning supplies. The preferred location is the $5.62\text{ m}^2$ hallway, integrated into custom floor-to-ceiling cabinetry that looks like a standard wall or closet.
C. Visual Expansion
Use a consistent flooring material light wood … throughout to unify the space.
Implement "invisible" storage (handle-less, wall-colored cabinets).
Maximize natural light flow from the balcony into the kitchen/entrance.
Use mirrors or glass partitions where appropriate to increase perceived depth.
D. Entrance Separation
The entrance should be "subtly separated." I do not want a heavy, closed-off wall. Instead, use furniture, a slatted wooden screen, or a change in lighting/ceiling height to define the foyer.
4. Deliverables Requested
2D Floor Plan: Detailed layout with furniture and wall thicknesses (including the acoustic wall).
3D Visualizations: High-quality renders of the open-plan area, the hallway/utility solution, and the entrance separation.
Material Board: Suggestions for flooring, cabinetry, and acoustic panels.
5. Style Preference
Modern, minimalist, and bright. Think "Scandinavian luxury" or "Warm Minimalism."
