Contest Brief

I am looking to get a tattoo and need some help with a design.
Basically am looking to get a tattoo of a religious cross and looking for some new inspiration.
The one thing it needs to incorporate is the names Christian and Antonio some where in or around the religious cross.
The tattoo will go on my upper arm so it needs to be designed for that.

Thanks for the advice. I guess I just wanted a rough idea before I went to see a tattoo artist. But I fully understand your point. I guess if I can point them in the right direction and then take there advice from there. I do appreciate your thoughts though.

why pay for a tattoo twice? why not sit down and talk to a tattoo artist at a professional shop? look at their work and seriously talk to them. its smarter to do that than have someone else design it especially if us designers aren't professional tattoo artists themselves. tattoo artists know that skin is a completely different medium than doing some design on the computer. so, respectfully get up off the computer and go look at tattoo shops in the area that you live around and talk. because ultimately you are going to get tattooed by a tattoo artist in the end...

I also recommend you just go to a tattoo shop. Tattoo designs are different in that they need to follow the flow of the body in their layout. If you don't go to a tattoo artist, you probably won't get the best result.

I couldn't agree more. I have two tattoos myself and I only trust two people to design what get's permanently put on my skin. My self and a tattoo artist. A tattoo really is something very personal and the whole concept behind a Graphic Designer and a Client is the client either A) has an idea in mind or B) has no freakin clue what they want. Either way, the job of the Graphic Designer is supposed to get "as close as possible" to the idea or image in the Client's head. It's one giant guessing game. The point is, a tattoo is considered very persona and that's just a whole other realm that many Graphic Designers cannot touch. A tattoo artist on the other hand has a special talent in that. They are incredibly gifted at illustration which is only a quarter of what Graphic Designer's do.
