Contest Brief

Need to create a brand/concept for a new festival. The initial goal should be an A4 sized poster that can be manipulated for other size formats too.

Here's the brief;

What: A one day festival for all ages merging visual, performance, and literary arts, with local history, ideas, food & fun.

Why: To inspire thinking & engage our community. It’s called Merge as it comes from the word Convergence – this is because the new cultural centre will be a converged model incorporating library, art gallery, theatre, recording studios, co-working hub, local studies museum, cafe etc.

Look & Feel – fresh, arty, fun – appeal to all ages

Tone & Imagery – feel good vibe, feel good imagery, catch the eye, standout from the crowd

Text: Merge Festival (this is the main logo) Where: In & around Civic Square, Booragoon When: Saturday 8th April, 10am – 10pm

Please leave room for sponsor logos down the bottom.

just a note that this is predominately a day-time community festival, not a night-time music 18+ festival, for example...thinking light/bright colours are the way to go here...
