My next-door neighbor has submitted a complying proposal to the local council for a first-floor addition to their house. Their property is located very close to ours and I am concerned about the impact this structure will have on light into our garden at key points of the day and at different points of the year. This model needs to be located at our address on google maps within Sketchup/other tools so that we can simulate the actual position of the sun at any given time.
Also, the proposed build has a first-floor bedroom window that looks down into my office, looks directly into our bath and into my daughter's room. It would be good to add a window into this model so we can demonstrate the invasion of privacy as the design stands currently.
I don't need detailed models of the properties at all but just an approximate representation based on the plans that have been submitted to the council (links will be provided) and I will supply photos of the current structures FYI.
1) Using Sketchup I would like someone to build a "quick and dirty" shading model and apply the location and shadows so I may demonstrate with reasonable accuracy the impact this structure has on shade in our garden.
2). I would also like the second version of this exact model where the first-floor structure is moved backward to explore if this placement has less impact on the light/shade in our garden.
3). Finally, I would like the proposed first-floor window that impacts the privacy of our ground floor windows opposite to be created so it's possible to simulate looking out of this bedroom window at our house to demonstrate the impact on privacy this has.
Approx dimensions, photo's and submitted plans will be provided and this should be a very easy job for someone with proficiency in Sketchup. If there's a better tool to do this please submit a reply and let me know.
Timing: I need to move fast as I have 6 days to deal with this so would like to get the model in 24 to 48 hours.
