Contest Brief
Hello, I need a simple illustration of a cell that is 4 inches tall and 6 inches wide (broken up into 6 square boxes like in the attached example). It should be black and white just like the example. You can add color one if you want but its not necessary. There are six different type of organelles in the cell (SEE THE ATTACHED example) and each of the 6 square boxes should have a different organelle in it. Please look at other graphics online if you want to make sure your graphics are accurate to a cell and feel free to use your creative imagination! Please ask if you have any questions.

Hey I like this, but I didn't want you to totally remove the 3D side. :-) Can you make it so that it doesn't take up so much space. Something in between? Thanks for your hard work!

I am glad you like it.
But until tomorrow I don't have access to my computer.
If you choose me, tomorrow afternoon will make you changes, a little more 3D.
I want to you stay satisfied with the illustration
Thank you!!!- 11 years ago

do you required each organelle completely fitted in a box or it can overflow into other segments.

It can overflow just a little bit into the other segments. It just need to be very clear that each square represents specifically that organelle.

Hey, both of your submissions are very good! Here are my only two comments. (1) Each organelle needs to be on a square and the Golgi, Rough ER, Nucleus and Vacuole these are in rectangle. We are going to cut them into squares and flip them over and randomly select them. So they need to be the same size so that my kids can't tell them apart by size. You could shorten up the right side of the cell that forms the 3D edge to save space since the most import part of those two squares are the organelles themselves.

(2) the other thing. I am wondering if you could give each square a more similar amount of space between the edges of the cell and the outside border of the square itself. The squares with the smooth ER and nucleus have a lot of space between the outside of the cell and the outer edge of the squares where as the Golgi and Rough ER have a very limited amount of space. Does this make sense?

Nosotroslosotros Great start! I think I would prefer it to be just a little bit more rectangular like in my example, so that is fills out more of the squares. And maybe just a tiny bit more detail so that my kids can better distinguish between the different organelles.

Not exactly the same just similar enough that each square has one organelle. This is my quick mock-up so I would like it to look nicer :-)

The point is to have six small 2" by 2" tiles and each have a different organelle on them. I want to play this with my kids so they have to piece together the six organelles into a full cell. :-) Super geeky but fun! It may be good to makes the 3D side of the cell (on the two tiles on the right most side) a little less think so that it does not take up so much of the space on those two tiles. Does that make sense? And feel free to be creative and give suggestions!
